Confederate statue removed in Richmond amid cheers

A massive statue of Gen. Stonewall Jackson was removed from Richmond, Virginia’s famed Monument Avenue amid cheers Wednesday afternoon, hours after the city’s mayor gave the order to take down all Confederate monuments on city land. (July 1)
