Shots fired in road rage incident on I-76 near Federal Boulevard

Deputies in Adams County are looking for the driver of a tan, early-2000s Cadillac DeVille who fired multiple gunshots at another vehicle on an Interstate 76 on ramp.

The road rage incident happened at about 6:20 p.m. Monday on the westbound I-76 ramp from southbound Federal Boulevard, according to a sheriff’s office news release.

Two male juveniles, the victims, told deputies that a man driving the Cadillac pointed a black, large-frame, semi-automatic handgun at the victims and fired multiple shots. The driver of the victim vehicle pulled off to the shoulder and the driver of Cadillac, which also had aftermarket black wheels and a temporary license tag, fled west.

Neither of the juveniles were hit by the gunfire. The gunman is described as white or Hispanic, in his early 30s, with a thin build and tattoos on the neck and arms. He was wearing a black, flat brim hat with a red stripe.

Anyone with information on the incident, or on a suspect, is asked to call Metro Denver Crime Stoppers at 720-913-7867.
